in the early morning of March 15th, 2023 the Metro Detriot area was ready to watch the Demolition of the Candycane Towers/ Trenton Channel Power Plant Smokestacks as DTE had delayed the Demolition from March 1st, on a mildy cold but ok weather day the Towers fell, marking over 100 years of standing, and a big change to the landscape along the Detriot River and the city of Trenton MI in general
