The Trenton Channel Power Plant

The Trenton Channel Power Plant was a Coal Fired Power Plant opened in 1924 that is most known for its 563 foot tall Smokestacks known commonly as the “Trenton Stacks”, “The Candycanes”, or just simply “The Stacks”, these were an add-on to the plant in 1968 and replaced the smaller “short stacks” as they were called, in December 2022 the Plant officially closed and on March 15th, 2024 the most notable part of the plant the Smokestacks were demolished via 500 pounds of controlled explosives for each stack, the Boiler Room was later Demolished in a Controlled Demolition as well on June 21st, 2024
