History of Big Boy Lincoln Park
Big Boy is a major restaurant chain in Michigan, hosting over 51 locations as of April 2024 and 61 nationally. It is headquartered in Southfield, MI, formerly Warren, MI. The Lincoln Park location is located on the outskirts of the Lincoln Park Shopping Center, home also to the former Sears Lincoln Park, and was a pretty early addition to the complex. The restaurant moved to its current location in the 1980s after the strip mall was built in the shopping center and Big Boy was forced to move. Big Boy is known for its Big Boy Burger and low prices, as well as its hospitality. The founder of Big Boy, Bob Wian, also heavily believed in the motto "The customer is always right." The restaurant was a popular location among the Big Boy franchises but fell victim to the sweep of COVID-19, as many other smaller businesses did, taking a major hit with sales during the period of 2020. The Big Boy Lincoln Park was no different.

Recollection from the author
Big Boy Lincoln Park was a building that was still mostly intact, and I could atill see what the building was once like, mostly because this was one of the places I had visited as a kid as it only had closed in 2020, it also followed the design most big boy’s are in the Metro Detroit region, most of which are still open, it was unfortunate to see the damage done from people getting inside and smashing the plates, tables and more, but all in all a small but notable exploration
